Jane Ashley - Guilford, Connecticut
Hi! I’m Jane and I was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After completing my Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, I landed in NYC where I worked in corporate identity design and brand management. I met my future husband while vacationing and rock climbing in Boulder Colorado, and soon moved out west to complete my graduate studies at a Buddhist college, Naropa University.
I then received my Masters Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Art Therapy. I have worked with children with trauma issues, with women's groups suffering from addictions, and in hospice and domestic violence shelters. After my husband and I moved back east to Connecticut, I had a private counseling practice where I specialized in helping women with postpartum depression. I was also a contract therapist for the Yale Child Study Center where I helped families in crisis.
After staying home to care for my children for 7 years, I began a new career in publishing as an Art Director. It was here that I met Loren Slocum and decided to pursue Loren’s mission of helping women, by supporting and promoting Loren's book, Life Tuneups.
Currently, I reside near the beach in Old Saybrook, CT with my three beautiful girls, Ruby, 8, Penny, 7, and Annabella, age 4. I market women's books and am a practicing Life Coach. I am so grateful to be a LoBella facilitator and to be amongst such wonderful, talented, loving women. Fulfilling the need to contribute to others is such a rewarding path!
